Key Responsibilities
Assist experienced mechanics with preventive maintenance tasks, following established procedures and checklists.
Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostics under the guidance of senior mechanics.
Change oil, filters, and other fluids, adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Conduct visual inspections of vehicles and equipment, identifying potential issues early on.
Clean and organize tools and equipment, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
May assist with minor repairs under direct supervision, as skills and experience develop.
Be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Ensure that safety precautions are taken when working on vehicles.
Completing worksheets for the day’s work completed.
Perform general duties as expected during daily operations.
Act on any reasonable instruction given by your superior in relation to work activities.

Requirements
Completion of a technical training program in diesel mechanics or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a workshop or mechanical environment. Electrical experience advantageous.
Strong understanding of basic mechanical principles and safe work practices.
Proven track record of diagnostics and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work standby and shifts.
Willing to learn and grow within the role.
Valid driver's license with own vehicle (essential).
